ALEXANDER

ALEXANDER George

Bluff Pioneer Cemetery Devonport
Age 60 Years

DEATH

ALEXANDER – On April 13, at Devonport, George Alexander, aged 60 years.

The North West Post 14th April 1915

Regret will be expressed at the news that Mr. G. Alexander, of Devonport, who has been confined to his bed for some time, was last night reported in a precarious condition and his medical attendant did not expect him to live until the morning. Mr. Alexander, it will be remembered, had a stroke of paralysis some time ago, but recently hopes were entertained of his rallying and regaining his health.

The sad information reached Devonport yesterday that Mrs. John Halley had passed away in Launceston. The deceased lady, who previous to her marriage was Miss Ethel Alexander, a daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. Geo Alexander, was only 26 years of age and leaves two little children, the youngest being only a fortnight old. Unfortunately her husband was in Melbourne at the time of the sad occurrence. The funeral will take place at the Mersey Bluff cemetery tomorrow, leaving the railway station on the arrival of the morning train from Launceston. see Halley
