FUNERAL

CARROLL – The funeral of the late Joseph William Carroll will leave his late residence, Upper Rooke Street, Devonport, tomorrow (Tuesday), at 2 p.m., for the Bluff Cemetery. Friends are respectfully invited to attend. Jeffrey, Undertaker.

The funeral of the late Joseph William Carroll took place at the Bluff Cemetery yesterday. The Rev. G. Rowe, B.A., conducted the service at the cemetery. The coffin was of Tasmanian polished oak and the pallbearers were Messrs. A. Cumming, J. C. Cumming, C. Chapman, P. Flight, and M. Hadfield. Floral tributes were received from the Devonport Export Merchants’ Association, the directors of Cumming and Co., Ltd., the staff of the same firm, and many other organizations and individuals. The cortege was most representatives of Devonport and district.
