DIPROSE - At his father's residence, Kindred, on Thursday, December 29, Ernest T. G. Diprose, eldest son of Thomas C. Diprose in his 20th year.

Quite a gloom was cast over the district on Thursday (writes our Kindred correspondent), by the sad news of the death of Mr. T. C. Diprose's eldest son. His death did not come as a surprise to the family, as Drs. Stewart and McHale had given no hope some days previously. The cause of death was consumption, brought into activity by a cold, after measles. The bereavement is the more sad from the fact that the eldest daughter is also lying in a critical condition. The funeral took place on Friday and was attended by a large concourse of people, a great number of relatives being present. In the absence of the Rev. G. T. Green, who was called to Ulverstone, Mr. T. Trebilcock conducted the last rights at the grave and gave a very impressive address, basing his discourse on the words, "Be ye also ready."

DIPROSE - On Thursday, January 26, at the residence of her father, Thomas C. Diprose, Kindred, Ida L. C. Diprose; aged 24 years.

Misfortune has settled heavily on the family of Mr. T. C. Diprose, of Kindred. During the last few years he lost his wife and eldest daughter, only a few weeks ago we recorded the death of his eldest son, who had just reached manhood and now he has lost his second daughter, Ida, who on Thursday evening succumbed to consumption. Great sympathy is expressed for the bereaved family, particularly for the father, who has felt theses repeated heavy blows keenly and the hope is expressed that at last the end of his troubles has been reached.
