OBITUARY

Mrs. S. Dudfield

A very old and respected resident of Forth, in Mrs. Susan Dudfield, passed away at her residence on Thursday morning. Born at Ross 87 years ago, she came with her parents, the late Mr and Mrs. George Wolfe, to Forth, at the age of ten. She lived here all her life. She married Mr. Ambrose Dudfield, who predeceased her several years ago. She reared a family of seven boys and three girls. Two of the daughters, Mrs. Yaxley and Mrs. Armstrong, died some time ago. The following members of the family are living: - Sons: James, Herbert and Sam, New Zealand; Wilfred, Adelaide; George, Sydney; Ambrose and Allan, Forth. Daughter: Mrs. Meers, Victoria. The funeral took place on Saturday and was largely attended. The chief mourners were the two sons, Ambrose and Allan; daughter, Mrs. Meers; brother, Mr. George Wolfe; and several grandsons and granddaughters. The carriers were Messrs. J. H. Kenny, G. Smith, Rex and Herb Dudfield and the pallbearers Cr. H. A. Vertigan and Messrs. D. Logan and T and G. Wellard. Rev. G. A. Collett officiated at the graveside.

Max Dudfield

FORTH

The funeral of the late Mr. and Mrs. Allan Dudfield's infant child (Max), took place on Sunday. The Rev. Mitchell conducted the ceremony. The chief mourners were Messrs Allan and Ambrose Dudfield and Mr. E. Gardiner. The sympathy of the district goes out to the bereaved parents, especially Mrs. Dudfield, who has only recently returned from the Ulverstone Hospital.
