The young daughter of Mr. G. Elliott, of the Don, who was so seriously burnt recently by a bush fire, was slightly better yesterday, and Dr. Cookson is sanguine of the little sufferer fully recovering her former health, although the burns were of a more severe nature than was as first anticipated.

The death occurred at Forth on Monday of Mrs. John Elliott, late of Kindred, after a long illness. The deceased was a daughter of Mr. George Wolfe, an old colonist, who is still living. She was born at the Don in March, 1868, and was married to Mr. John Elliott, of Devonport, 22 years ago, since when they have resided at Kindred. The deceased was of a kindly disposition and will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends. The funeral will take place this afternoon.
