GRAHAM
In fond and loving memory of our dear brother, James Graham, who departed this life on March 17 1896.
Ah, is it true that he has gone?
It surely cannot be
That dear familiar face form
Are no more to see?
Far beyond this world of care
We shall find our missing loved one
In our father’s mansion fair.
Inserted by his fond and loving sister, B. Fannon.

Old Resident Passes

The death occurred yesterday of Mr. John Graham, a very old resident of Devonport. It will be remembered that Mr. Graham was the victim of a sensational accident at the wharfside while engaged on wharf work over two months ago. He was struck by the gangway and knocked into the river, falling between the vessel and the wharf. His escape from death was miraculous, but he was very seriously injured, and his life was despaired of. He never recovered from the effects, and passed away quietly yesterday. The late Mr. Graham was born in the South and came to Devonport about 50 years ago. In his younger days he was a well-known footballer and a prominent oarsman. He leaves a widow and family of six to mourn their loss. One of his brothers, Mr. Angus Graham, is a well-known resident of Devonport.

Neil Graham

Bluff Pioneer Cemetery Devonport
Died 5th September 1901 On Thursday another blank was caused in a West Devonport home by that disease consumption, which claimed Mr. Neil Graham, jun., as a victim, unfortunately not the first in the family. When quite a child he was severely burnt, which resulted in his left had being deformed, but he was nevertheless able to earn his living on the ferry until 10 years ago, when the exposure proved too much for him. He was very handy with the penknife and many a "full-rigged ship" he carved out of pine in a very skilful manner. He was 40 years of age and unmarried. His funeral takes place at the Mersey Bluff tomorrow afternoon.

FUNERAL NOTICE

The Funeral of the late Neil Graham jnr., will leave his father’s residence, West Devonport, for the Bluff Cemetery at 3 o’clock tomorrow (Sunday) afternoon. H. Weller, Undertaker

The Advocate 7th Sept 1901

There was a large attendance at the late Neil Graham's funeral at Mersey Bluff yesterday afternoon. Pastor MacKay conducted the religious service. Another annoying hitch occurred in the mortuary arrangements at this grave. The opening dug was not wide enough, and had to be enlarged before the coffin could be lowered.
