A sudden death occurred at West Devonport on Saturday, when an aged man employed in the yard of a Stewart Street establishment fell down and expired. It was not known last night whether an inquest would be held. Deceased had a brother living along the coast.DEVONPORT
The sudden death referred to in yesterday's Advocate was that of George Gunyon aged 83 years, who had been with Mr. Dan Brown 80 years, but of recent years had been, on account of his advanced age, but a pensioner rather than an employee. After his death he was seen by Dr. Payne, who considered deceased was due to senile decay and failure of the heart's action and under the circumstances the coroner (Mr. P. C. Maxwell) did not consider an inquest necessary. The old veteran was laid in his last resting place yesterday afternoon
