DEATH
The death occurred yesterday morning of Mrs. Mary Hastings, at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. T. J. Barker, Kempling Street. Deceased was born in London, and came to Tasmania 40 years ago. Her husband predeceased her several years ago. She leaves two sons and two daughters. The funeral leaves her son-in-law’s residence for the Don cemetery this afternoon.

FUNERAL
HASTINGS – The funeral of the late Mrs. Mary Hastings will leave the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. T. J. Barker, Kempling Street, Devonport, this day, at 3 o’ clock, for the Don Cemetery. Jeffrey, Undertaker.

The Last Rites.
The funeral of the late Mrs. Mary Hastings took place at the General Cemetery, Don, yesterday afternoon. Services at the residence of deceased’s son-in-law (Mr. T. J. Barker) and at the graveside were conducted by the Rev. J. Ebery, while the chief mourners were Messrs. T. and E. Barker, sons-in-law. The bearers were Messrs. A. Mitchell, T. and E. Barker and R. Beaumont. A large number of people paid their last tribute of respect, while many fine wreaths were placed on the coffin. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. W. Jeffrey.
