A child of Mr. W. Innes, of West Devonport, died very suddenly early on Sunday morning. Dr. Payne had been attending the deceased, who was only a few weeks old, but on Saturday evening it appeared in good health and was placed in a cot. On Sunday morning Mrs. Innes went into the room and was horrified to find the infant apparently lifeless. Mr. Davis was called in and pronounced life extinct and was of opinion that the child had expired some hours previously. Death was due to natural causes.
