THE REV. J. MAY - A very successful social gathering, as a farewell to the Rev. J. May (Wesleyan) recently residing at Hamilton-on-Forth, took place last week. Nearly 100 persons sat down to an excellent tea, which was followed by entertainment. The many friends of the Rev. and Mrs. May on this part of the Coast, will regret to learn that their four months' old baby died a few days ago. The arrival into the district of the rev. gentleman and his wife and family was also clouded by the death of a little one.
