DEATH

McCULLOCH – On October 14, at his residence, Fenton Street, Devonport, George, beloved husband of Elizabeth McCulloch, aged 68 years.

The Advocate 15th October 1920

The death took place yesterday at Devonport of Mr. George McCulloch at the age of 68 years. Deceased was born at West Tamar and was mining for many years on the West Coast. He came with his family to Devonport about eight years ago. Two of his sons were killed at the war. Following this he suffered from a nervous breakdown and of late was in rapidly failing health. Of a quiet and unassuming disposition, he was popular with all and the sympathy of a wide circle will be extended to the bereaved widow and family. He leaves three daughters and four sons. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon.

DEATH

McCULLOCH - ON September 29, Elizabeth, widow of the late George McCulloch, late of Devonport, at the residence of her son-in-law, S. Harrison, Boat Harbor, aged 92 years. Funeral arrangements later.

LATE MRS. E. McCULLOCH

The funeral of the late Mrs. Elizabeth McCulloch, widow of the late Mr. George McCulloch, took place at the Bluff cemetery, Devonport on Sunday. The service was conducted by Rev. W. Bampton, of Wynyard. The chief mourners were Messrs. R., J., E., and W. McCulloch (sons), S. Harrison, J. Bilson and E. Gerrard (sons-in-law) and H. Stratton and A., W. and S. Cutts (nephews). Mrs. McCulloch, who was in her 93rd year, came to Australia with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Stratton, at the age of 11 years She married Mr. George McCulloch in 1877. After living in the Ulverstone districts for many years they moved to Devonport. For several years Mrs. McCulloch had resided with her daughter Mrs. S. Harrison, Boat Harbor, where she died on September 29. She left a family of four sons and three daughters, two sons having given their lives in the last war.
