MILLER – The funeral of the late Tomasina Anderson Miller will leave her late residence, Best Street, Devonport, on Friday at 3 p.m. for the Bluff cemetery. Friends please accept this intimation.

FUNERAL

The funeral of the late Tomasina Anderson Miller took place at the Bluff Cemetery yesterday afternoon. A large number of beautiful wreaths and floral tributes were received, showing the esteem in which the deceased lady has held. The Rev. F. J. Wood officiated and service was held in the house prior to leaving and also at the Baptist Church. The pallbearers were Messrs. A. H. Marshall, C. Walker, H. Hadfield and H. E. Haslock. In Thursday’s issue it was wrongly stated that Mrs. George Hey was a sister of the late Mrs. Miller. There is no connection

SUDDEN DEATH

DEVONPORT

Mr. Thomas Miller, of Best Street, Devonport, expired suddenly at 5 o’clock this morning. Although deceased had been under medical treatment for some time past for heart trouble, he appeared to be in good health and spirits when he retired last night. He was ganger in the Tasmanian Government Railways for over 30 years and a colonist of 37 years, coming out from Scotland to Tasmania. He leaves a widow, two sons, and four daughters to mourn their loss.
