ABOUT PEOPLE
The death occurred at Forthside on Wednesday morning of Mrs. Thos. O’Donnell in her 101st year.
She was born in Galway (Ireland) and arrived on the Forthside estate in
1852, and settled on the farm now occupied by Mr. A. Bartlett and has lived in the district ever
since. Her husband pre-deceased her over thirty years ago. A grown-up family of eight are left
behind.

A young women living on Dr. Casey’s estate, named Bridget O’Donnell, whose clothes caught fire while cleaning out the fireplace. She ran outside, which made matters much worse, as there was a high wind blowing. The next neighbor lives some little distance off and when they reached her all her clothes were burnt. She was carried home and Dr. Bowers was sent for, but all human help was of no avail and the poor woman died about 8 o’clock on Sunday morning in great pain. The Rev. Father Noone was at her bedside to the last and administered the last rites of her church.

O’DONNELL – On June 2nd, at the Ulverstone Hospital, Terence, second eldest surviving son of the late Thomas and Bridget O’Donnell, of Forth, in his 69th year. R.I.P.

OBITUARY
An old resident of the Forth district passed away at the local hospital yesterday afternoon in the person of Mr. Terrence O’Donnell. The deceased had only been an inmate of the
institution for about a week and had been suffering with pneumonia. He was the second eldest surviving son of the late Thos. and Bridget O’Donnell, of Forth and was in his 69th
year. The mortal remains will be laid to rest in the Forth Roman Catholic Cemetery on Thursday afternoon.

OBITUARY
The mortal remains of the late Mr. John O’Donnell were laid to rest in the Roman Catholic cemetery on Sunday. Rev. M. J. Dowling conducted the burial service. Messrs. M. and W. O’Donnell (brothers), D. O’Donnell (nephews), Miss O’Donnell and Mrs. J. Sullivan (sisters) and Mr. E. O’Donnell (nephew), were the chief mourners. The funeral was a large one. The deceased gentleman, who was ailing for a considerable time, passed away at the Devon Hospital on Thursday. He was 70 years of age at the time of his demise. He had lived in the district practically all his life and it can be safely said that he leaves no enemies behind him.

OBITUARY
MR. M. O’Donnell
Mr. Michael O’Donnell passed away early yesterday morning at the Ulverstone Hospital. Deceased was a native of Forth, where he was born 70 years ago. He had resided at Ulverstone for many years and was well known. He became oil a short time ago and entered the hospital for treatment. He leaves a family of four sons and two daughters. The funeral is to take place this afternoon at Forth.
