ONIONS - On December 12, at the General Hospital, Ulverstone, Rosetta, relict of the late Mr. I. Onions, of Forth, in her 69th year. Buried Methodist Cemetery, Forth.

OBITUARY
Late Mrs. W. I. Onions.
Mrs. W. I. Onions, who passed away at the Ulverstone General Hospital on Saturday morning, was a Forth pioneer. She was born at White Hills 69 years ago and was a daughter of the late Mr. Shepherd. She took up residence at Forth when a young woman. One son, Carl, was killed in the Great War, and another, Allen, met his death in an accident. Three sons and four daughters are still living - Messrs. Edward Onions (Forth), Arthur Onions (Victoria) and Jack Onions (Queenstown); Mesdames A. Dudfield (Forth, F. Saplin (Victoria), G. Mills (Sydney) and F. Dawes (Forth).
The funeral took place on Monday afternoon in the Forth Methodist cemetery, the cortege leaving the Ulverstone Hospital. In addition to a large number of relatives and friends, members of the I.O.O.F. Lodge were present. Rev. Compton conducted the service at the graveside. The chief mourners were Messrs. Edward Onions (son), A. Dudfield and F. Dawes (sons in law), Herbert, Leonard and Alfred Dudfield and O Howard (grandsons), and Mrs. E. Onions (daughter-in-law). The carriers were Messrs H. Dudfield, Allan, Dudfield, O. Howard and K. Smith.
