PENDREY – On September 11, at his late residence, Parker Street, Devonport, James, beloved husband of Elizabeth Pendrey and eldest son of Richard and Ann Pendrey, Herefordshire, England, aged 61 years. After a long and painful illness borne with fortitude.

The funeral of the late Mr. James Pendrey will leave his residence, Parker Street, Devonport, for the Bluff Cemetery, at 3 o’clock tomorrow (Friday) afternoon. Friends will kindly accept this intimation.

OBITUARY
The death took place yesterday of Mr. James Pendrey, better know as “Jimmy Smith,” at the age of 61 years. The deceased was born in Herefordshire, England and has been a resident of Tasmania for the past 26 years, eighteen of which were spent in Devonport, where he followed the calling of a bricklayer. He leaves a widow and two grown-up sons. The funeral will take place at the Bluff Cemetery tomorrow afternoon.
