It was with great regret residents learned of the death of Mrs. Walter Scott. The deceased lady was very well known and highly respected in Forth. Much sympathy is felt for Mr. Scott who is left with seven young children.

SCOTT - On August 8, at Launceston General Hospital, William, dearly loved eldest son of James Scott, of Forth and formerly of Mole Creek aged 30 years. Burial Forth Methodist Cemetery.

ABOUT PEOPLE
The death occurred in the Launceston General Hospital early on Thursday morning of Mr. William Scott, of Forth. The deceased, who was only 30 years of age, was a man of great promise and was universally respected. Expressions of deep regret were to be heard in the Forth district yesterday at the sad event. The deceased was the eldest son of Mr. James Scott, of “Forth Hill,” and formerly of Mole Creek, where the family resided for many years. Some days ago he underwent an operation for a tumor on the brain, but he never rallied. Quite a gloom was cast over the township by the sad occurrence.

SCOTT - In December 23, 1967, at New Norfolk District Hospital, Walter James, beloved husband of the late Isabella Maria Scott, late o Forth and loving father of Alice (Mrs. M. Taylor, Launceston) Effie (Mrs. C. Smith, New Norfolk), Jessie (Mrs. O. Murfett, Devonport), Ronald (Devonport) Marjorie (dec.), Alan (Devonport) and Max (Launceston). In his 82nd year. Interment took place at the Forth Cemetery on December 25.
