TURNER – The funeral of the late Mrs. Joseph Turner will leave her husband's residence, Devonport, this day (Monday), at 3 p.m., for the Don cemetery.

Death of Mrs. J. Turner – The death of Mrs. Joseph Turner took place on Saturday morning, at the age of 41 years. Deceased was the wife of Mr. Joseph Turner, and leaves a family of eight, four boys and four girls. The case is a distressing one, as owing to the ill health of the husband the family is in very poor circumstances. Influenza entered the home about a fortnight ago, and the late Mrs. Turner overtaxed her strength in nursing other members of the family before she contracted the disorder, herself. The funeral is to take place this afternoon.

The Grim Reaper – The funeral of the late Mrs. Mary Catherine Turner took place at the Don General Cemetery yesterday afternoon, Mr. F. L. Hadrill officiating at the graveside. Deceased passed away on Saturday morning as the result of influenza, at the early age of 41 years, leaving a husband, who is in very poor health, and a family of eight children to mourn their loss. The coffin was borne by four local residents, and there were many present to pay their last token of respect.

The Funeral of the late Mrs. Mary Ann Turner will leave her late residence, “Ormiston” Esplanade, Devonport, at 3.30 p.m. to-morrow (Thursday), for the Don cemetery. H. Weller, Undertaker

The death occurred at “Ormiston” Esplanade, last night of Mrs. Joseph Turner, as the result of apoplexy. Mrs. Turner was taken with a sudden seizure on Sunday evening, and sank gradually until shortly before midnight, when she passed away. She was 65 years of age.

Sudden Death
On Sunday about midnight Mrs. Joseph Turner died suddenly from apoplexy. The deceased lady was over 60 years of age and highly respected by a large circle of friends. She leaves a husband, with one daughter and a son, Mr. C. A. Purdie (of Burnie).

The funeral of the late Mrs. Joseph Turner took place at the Don cemetery yesterday. The chief mourners were the husband and son (Mr C. A. Purdie, of Burnie), and the religious service was conducted by the Rev. W. H. Hodge. Included in the cortege were a number of representative citizens, also officials of the Methodist Church, with which body the deceased was associated.

NEWS ITEM
A large cabbage was displayed in one of Mr. J. Turner's windows in Steele Street, yesterday. It weighed 16 lb., an early variety, which is coming into favor and was grown from seed sold by Mr. Turner.
